Public Involvement

Syracuse Hancock International Airport is committed to involving the public in programs related to aviation/aerospace as often as possible. We offer an airport tour program, providing an average of 100 tours annually.

Tours are offered between 9AM – 4PM, Monday through Friday. The tours are specific to school age children (K-6) with a maximum of 35 people (including chaperones). Airport tours generally include the airline ticketing areas, the passenger screening process and our baggage claim area. After the tour, groups are welcome to have lunch in one of the airport’s conference rooms or outside in our Observation Area. With advance notice, it may also be possible to schedule a tour of the Syracuse Fire Department Airport Division.

*Thank you for your interest in bringing your tour group to Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR). Due to operational concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19, the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) has temporarily suspended the tour program at SYR. When it is deemed safe to do so, we greatly look forward to resuming tours and inspiring the next generation of aviation enthusiasts!
