Syracuse, New York –The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) announced today that a Master Plan Update Public Open House will be held Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
Slated for the airport’s J.P. Walsh Conference Room, the Open House will serve as an opportunity for the public to learn more about the Master Plan Update process. Members of the public will be able to meet the project team, review critical information, ask questions, and provide comments on the future of Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) in an informal setting.
Airport Master Plans set forth the direction of an airport for up to 20 years. Airport Master Plans provide a vision of the specific, long-range development plans of an airport based on forecasts of aviation activity, potential environmental effects, community compatibility, and financial feasibility.
“Public input serves as one of the key elements of the Master Plan Update process,” said SRAA Executive Director Jason Terreri. “As we dive into the Master Plan Update process, we can’t help but be excited about what the future holds for SYR. We look forward to sharing that vision with the public at our Open House.”
Free parking will be provided in the airport’s Overflow Parking Lot, and masks are required at all times.
