Syracuse, New York – The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) is excited to announce American Airlines has added special nonstop flights between Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) and South Bend International Airport (SBN) to support Syracuse University (S.U.) Football fans attending their matchup with Notre Dame in late November.
For the Orange’s Saturday, November 22nd away game against Notre Dame – the weekend before Thanksgiving – American will run a special nonstop flight from SYR directly to SBN at 2:30 pm on Friday, November 21st. Fans can conveniently return directly to Syracuse via an 11:30 am nonstop flight on Sunday, November 23rd. The airline is slated to operate their Embraer E-175 aircraft on the special flights with seating for approximately 76 Orange faithful.
“We’re grateful American Airlines has identified and delivered on this opportunity to better serve the Orange Nation this fall,” said SRAA Executive Director Jason Terreri. “It’s no secret S.U. fans are willing to travel to support the program and this additional service into South Bend will help Orange fans show out in force.”
Flights will be available for sale on the airline’s website, AA.com, late Sunday, June 29th.
