Syracuse, New York –The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) announced today a Master Plan Update Public Open House will be held Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
Slated for the airport’s J.P. Walsh Conference Room, the Master Plan Update’s fourth and final Open House will serve as an opportunity for the public to see the results of the Master Plan Update process and review the preferred 20-year development plan for the airport. Members of the public will be able to meet the project team, review critical information, ask questions, and provide comments on the future of Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) in an informal setting.
Airport master plans set forth the direction of an airport for up to 20 years. They provide a vision of the specific, long-range development plans of an airport based on forecasts of aviation activity, potential environmental effects, community compatibility, and financial feasibility.
“Since our last Public Open House, our team has worked tirelessly to develop an Airport Master Plan that lays out how the airport will develop to meet the needs of our community well into the future,” said SRAA Executive Director Jason Terreri. “This plan ensures the airport remains a powerful economic engine for the region, supporting Central New York’s growth and prosperity.” For more information about the Master Plan Update Process, please visit the airport’s 2021 Master Plan Update page.
