Syracuse, New York – August 21, 2024 – The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) and Allegiant Air are excited to announce the ultra-low-cost carrier will expand its popular seasonal nonstop service from Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) directly to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) next year. The twice-weekly service will begin on March 6th in 2025 – nearly three months earlier than previous years.
Operating on Thursdays and Sundays, the convenient flight will have Syracuse travelers on the Grand Strand in under two hours. This new schedule is perfectly timed for golfers eager to tee off during Myrtle Beach’s spring golf season, which runs from March through May. With over 80 renowned golf courses in the area, travelers will quickly find themselves on the fairways, soaking up the sun and experiencing the ideal combination of beautiful weather, sandy beaches, and world-class golfing.
“We greatly appreciate our partner Allegiant recognizing and accommodating the springtime demand for nonstop service to Myrtle Beach,” said SRAA Executive Director Jason Terreri. “We can see the uptick in people traveling to Myrtle Beach during that March through May timeframe each year. This expansion of Allegiant’s nonstop schedule gives our travelers a much more convenient option to do so quickly and easily.”
