Syracuse, New York – January 30, 2024 – The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) today announced Breeze Airways will launch seasonal, nonstop service from Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) directly to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) this spring. The twice-weekly service is scheduled to begin May 23, 2024 and run on Thursdays and Sundays.

The roughly hour and a half flight to RDU will be primarily served by the carrier’s 137-seat Airbus 220 aircraft in a three-class configuration. RDU is the sixth destination the ultra-low-cost carrier will fly directly to from SYR. Breeze also provides nonstop flights from Syracuse directly to Charleston, SC; Las Vegas, NV; Norfolk, VA; Tampa, FL; and Fort Myers, Fl.

It’s a new era for Orange travel, and we look forward to witnessing the tremendous impact this direct route will have on the SU fan experience and their engagement with ACC teams in the RDU vicinity.”
