Syracuse Hancock International Airport is pleased to announce the addition of a post-security Pet Relief Room . The room is located in Terminal A, just past the security checkpoint.
With the number of passengers traveling with service and therapy animals increasing, the rooms
are becoming more and more popular among airports across the country.
The airport has existing outdoor pet relief areas in the front and side of the terminal, so this new addition will give passengers that have delayed or cancelled flights the option to stay post-security with their service animal while waiting for their flight.
“Whether a passenger is traveling with a service animal, a therapy or comfort dog, or their family pet, having easily accessible facilities is important not only for the comfort of the pet, but for the overall passenger experience,” said Christina Callahan, the airport’s Executive Director.
